SHINE

What is SHINE?  SHINE is Serving the Health Information Needs of Elders. A representative from SHINE is available by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling the Council on Aging office at 978-297-3155. 

Exercise Room

The new treadmill is in and waiting for walkers!  It is easy to use—ask a staff member to show you how!  Also, we now have three pool tables ready for play as well as a shuffleboard table ready to roll. See the monthly calendar for times of games.

Chair Exercise

Come join us for chair exercise upstairs in the auditorium on Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 9:30. We do a range of gentle exercises both standing and sitting. Come check it out.

Senior Center Library

Our library is located on the second floor of the Center. There you will find a variety of books and video tapes to borrow.  There is also a large selection of puzzles that are dying to be completed!  Come take a look and help yourself.

Computer Classes

Want to learn how to "surf the web"? Take a computer class at the Center! Call the Center to make your appointment and we'll have you surfing in no time! Classes are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Yoga Classes
Yoga classes run every Monday and Wednesday morning at 10:00 upstairs in the library.  Any questions, please give us a call at 978/297-3155.

BINGO!

Play BINGO every Wednesday at the Center at 12:30!  We have a lively group that gathers for coffee and BINGO. Make plans to join us any Wednesday afternoon at 12:30.

Peanut Auction

Every second Friday at 10:30, we hold a Peanut Auction in the Community Room.  You're asking - what the heck is a Peanut Auction?!  Quite simply, you get a bowl of twenty peanuts and a chance to bid on a range of lovely prizes. Check the calendar to see the date of the next peanut auction

Wii Bowling

We have Wii bowling available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Starting in September, Wii golf starts on Friday mornings at 9:30. Never played before? That’s ok—we’ll show you how!  Come create yourself on the Wii and then have fun competing against one another bowling, tennis, golf or any one of the many games on the game cartridge.

Card Games

Join us on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons after lunch for card games in the dining room.

Knitting/Crocheting Club

Join us on Friday mornings from 10:00-11:00 to knit or crochet.Work on a special project of your own or get help with a new stitch.
